Kids have so many questions going on in their mind before the academic year starts: Will I score more marksthan last year? Will my old friends stay with me? Will I pass in all subjects?[\/vc_column_text][\/vc_column][\/vc_row][vc_row video_bg=&#8221;true&#8221; video_bg_url=&#8221;&#8221; css=&#8221;.vc_custom_1534144202053{margin-top: 20px !important;margin-bottom: 20px !important;}&#8221;][vc_column][vc_column_text el_class=&#8221;highlight&#8221;]To enhance this sense of joyful anticipation of what the school year can bring, I offer the following ten tips for a happy, successful school year[\/vc_column_text][\/vc_column][\/vc_row][vc_row video_bg=&#8221;true&#8221; video_bg_url=&#8221;&#8221;][vc_column][vc_column_text el_class=&#8221;justify&#8221;]\n<ul class=\"color\">\n<li><strong>Get Organized<\/strong><br \/>\nMaking a plan for what you\u2019re going to do and when you\u2019re going to do it will make sure you\u2019re always ahead of the curve.<\/li>\n<li><strong>Divide it up<\/strong><br \/>\nStudying isn\u2019t fun to begin with, and forcing yourself through a study marathon will only make it worse. Dividing your work into manageable parts and rewarding yourself when you finish each part will make studying fun.<\/li>\n<li><strong>Sleep<\/strong><br \/>\nDon\u2019t underestimate the importance of those eight hours of sleep every night! Getting a good night\u2019s rest will sharpen your focus and improve your working memory.<\/li>\n<li><strong>Set a schedule<\/strong><br \/>\nDo you work better right after school or after you\u2019ve eaten dinner? Find a schedule that works for you, and stick to it.<\/li>\n<li><strong>Take notes<\/strong><br \/>\nTaking notes will not only keep you more attentive during class, but will also help you narrow down what you need to study when exam time is around. It\u2019s much easier to reread your notes than to reread your entire textbook!<\/li>\n<li><strong>Study<\/strong><br \/>\nThis one might be obvious, but did you know that there\u2019s a right and a wrong way to study? Review your study material several days before exams, in small parts, and in different manners. In other words, don\u2019t try to cram everything in a short span of time.<\/li>\n<li><strong>Extracurricular activity<\/strong><br \/>\nIt is good to concentrate on studies but do not forget to indulge in extracurricular activities as it keeps our mind fresh. Indulging in debates, quizzes, sports, etc can help keeping your body and mind healthy.<\/li>\n<li><strong>Manage your study space<\/strong><br \/>\nFind a place that will maximize your productivity. Look for places away from the television and other distractions. Whether it\u2019s your local library or just the desk in your bedroom, set aside a study space that you\u2019ll want to spend time in.<\/li>\n<li><strong>Find a study group<\/strong><br \/>\nSitting down with a group of people who are learning the same things as you is a great way to go over confusing class material or prepare for a big test. You can quiz each other, reteach material, and make sure that everyone is on the same page. After all, teaching someone else is the best way to learn.<\/li>\n<li><strong>Ask questions<\/strong><br \/>\nYou\u2019re in school to learn, so don\u2019t be afraid to do just that!
