Field Trip - Pochampally Handloom Park Gallery

Students of Grade VI, VII, & VIII had a field trip to Pochampally, the silk city of India on 23^rd November 2019. The CGRites visited the Pochampally Handloom Park to know about the world famous traditional Pochampally sarees. They got an opportunity to witness the ‘Fibre to Yarn to Fibre’ process and to know the lifestyle and history of the handloom park. The students were also explained about the art of saree making, designing and dyeing. Established in 1998, Pochampally Handloom Park manufactures, supplies a large assortment of Ikat Sarees, Furnishing Material, Bed Sheets, Textile Fabric, Dress Material, Upholstery Fabric, Silk Sarees, Ikat Fabric & many more.
